Lisa Shaddick, MCIPR MIPRA

Working in public relations since 1987, Lisa was educated in the US and Europe, before moving to the UK in 1988. Her industry background includes experience in the automotive, coatings and construction industries on global and pan-European campaigns. Lisa, who co-owns DA Public Relations with Steve Lawson, was a board member of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Public Relations in 2008, 2009 and 2010. She chaired the Institute’s Greater London Group in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and in 2010 she was awarded the Institute’s Accredited Practitioner status.

Steve Lawson
Financial Director

Steve has been with DA Public Relations since its inception and now co-owns the consultancy with Lisa Shaddick. He is responsible for the financial performance and implementation of financial best practices. With a background in IT, Steve ensures the agency utilises the best technology for all client projects. His role at DA is unique to an agency of its size and reflects the business' focus on delivering value to its clients.

You'd be surprised to know I used to play drums in a punk band called "Religious Concrete Trousers"

 

 

Chantal Bachelier
Consultant

Although she has always lived in London, Chantal is half French and was brought up fully bilingually. She attended the Lycée Charles de Gaulle in South Kensington, London, and later obtained her bilingual business qualifications from L’Institut Français, Londres. She brings her exceptional PR experience to the DAPR team, having worked in the Press Office at Buckingham Palace for nearly a decade before starting her own business with her partner, producing software for the complementary health market. Chantal operates in both her languages at DAPR; she is responsible for the French and Swiss French clients, as well as select UK programmes.   

You'd be surprised to know: I worked briefly as a commis chef with Pierre Koffman in his Michelin 3 starred restaurant La Tante Claire.

  Stephanie Borst
Consultant

Raised in Germany and Italy, Stephanie became fascinated with languages early in her life and has been a passionate translator and writer ever since. She read Slavonic Studies and Marketing Psychology at university in Munich and completed a Master's degree. Stephanie has worked as a PR professional, copywriter and journalist since 1999 for various companies and agencies in Germany and the UK.

 You'd be surprised to know I have cruised the Munich Oktoberfest under blues and twos as a paramedic

 

  Sarah-Jane Freni
Account Director

Sarah-Jane was brought up in Belgium by a Walloon mother and Dutch father. She speaks fluent English, French and Dutch as well as a little bit of German and Italian. She studied PR and Journalism in Brussels after which she started a career as a tour manager in the music industry. She relocated to London in 2003 and toured Europe for another 3 years before settling down for a more “regular” job. Since then she has worked for UK Trade & Investment and the Renewable Energy Association organising conferences, seminars, trade missions and press visits amongst other things.

Having been in the international motorcycle trade publishing sector for many years, Steve began consulting in 2008 and combined his passion for the subject matter with his knowledge of global B2B communications. He has since helped many clients, both in and out of the motorcycle industry, to maximise their PR and marketing efforts. Steve is also actively involved in publishing a magazine and contributes to all aspects of the business.

María Jesús Rubio

After finishing her degree in Journalism and Communication in the University of Navarra, in her native Spain, Maria Jesús gained PR experience in two Spanish consultancies and at an in-house Marketing and Communication department in London. Also she worked for different media across Spain as an economical and political journalist.

Marta re-joins the DAPR team after a two-year absence. She has five years experience in PR in the automotive aftermarket sector. Married to a Frenchman, Marta is improving her French, but works solely in her native Polish for DAPR looking after DuPont Refinish and Facom in Poland.

Spaghetti Shaddick
Director of Greetings (D.O.G.)

Spaghie has been coming to the office since he was eight weeks old. He was tempted to leave to pursue a lucrative modelling career, but his love of all things PR, including the attention he gets from clients, kept him at DA. His daily routine includes welcoming the postman, sleeping on his bed, eating apples, and getting walked around the streets of Marylebone. It's a dog’s life.

Sarah is an integral part of the team even though she doesn’t operate in the PR arena; she manages all the day-to-day running of the financial accounts for DAPR. Sarah joined the team in 2000 and has been working closely with Steve since then to provide financial best practice.  She received a Certified Accounting Technician qualification from ACCA in 2004.

Lizzie Wastell, ACIPR
Account Director

As Deputy Managing Director and a member of the senior management team, Lizzie plays a pivotal role in the DA Publlic Relations team, making decisions that drive the agency itself. Lizzie joined DAPR in 2003, and now directs the consultancy's largest pan-European client and takes an active role in mentoring new team-members. A full member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, she was awarded the Institute's Accredited Practitioners status in 2011.

  Britt Warg

Britt is a Swedish native who moved to England in 1998. She has also lived in France and enjoys all things French. Her background is modern language teaching and she has extensive B2B communications experience. Britt uses Twitter to keep active in UK news media. With one foot firmly planted on either side of the North Sea, Britt takes care of our Scandinavian clients.

Pippa started with DA in 1995 as account executive and is now responsible for planning pan-European PR campaigns and tactical implementation focusing on DuPont Refinish and BASF. Pippa has extensive experience across many business and consumer industries in German, French and Spanish.
