History

DA Public Relations started life as Davies Associates, and it was established in 1984 by Barbara Davies, who started the agency after working as in-house PR for ICI. Based on her experience here working with consultancies, Davies tore up the rule book when she left ICI on how consultancies are normally structured and created a new business model.

 In April 2008, Davies retired; Lisa Shaddick and Steve Lawson took over ownership of the consultancy, continuing their roles of managing director and financial director, respectively.

 A fresh concept

One office, one message – globally! Traditional pan-European or global campaigns are often based on the premise of an office in every location. These networks are essentially country-focused units and can lack quality standards and staff with real international experience.

 The DA Public Relations team offers multi-lingual, multinational, local cultural experts operating from a single office. This allows DA Public Relations to integrate assets and resources into effective multinational account teams. Our clients benefit from more of their PR budgets being spent on achieving their goals rather than going into communication co-ordination between separate country offices.
