Davies Associates picked to edit DuPont employee magazine

DuPont de Nemours recently decided to roll all its employee publications in Europe, Middle East and Africa into a single magazine. In February 2005, after a three-way pitch, the company appointed Davies Associates to edit and translate contributions to the new journal, in DuPont, which will go out to approximately 15,000 DuPont employees in over 30 countries, at more than 250 sites. The first issue is due out in early April 2005.

Davies Associates began editing an internal publication for employees of the automotive paint divisions of DuPont in 1995. After DuPont acquired Herberts in 1999, Davies Associates was selected to continue this work on the employee magazine for DuPont Performance Coatings, DPC Horizons. It was judged so successful in connecting employees with different company cultures, and informing them of the DuPont aims and activities within their coatings business that it was used as a blueprint for in DuPont.

Ross Bethell, Davies Associates business development director, says, "Our experience in producing all manner of company literature, our role as objective, external advisors and our knowledge of the industry, meant we were the right team for the job. It is an exciting project."
