Shaddick, an American who has lived in the UK for nearly 20 years, started at Davies Associates looking after UK clients. She progressed rapidly, taking on increased responsibilities, expanding her role to first manage and then account direct pan European and global programmes. In appointing her deputy managing director in January 2003, Davies called her "a natural leader, pivotal to the past, present and future of the agency.
