DuPont hands corporate brief to DAPR
March 2008
Global science-based products and services company DuPont has appointed London-based European PR specialist DA Public Relations to promote its corporate activities in the UK media.
DA took over the account on 1 March 2008. DA has been briefed to publicise DuPont’s use of science to create forward-looking, sustainable products for today’s problems and opportunities, building on its history of developing well-known brands such as Teflon®, Neoprene®, Kevlar® and nylon. The aim of the new media campaign will also be to re-position DuPont, moving away from its image of a “traditional chemicals company” that offers a host of different raw materials to one that can provide customers with an innovative service solution, which groups all necessary products in one industry-focused offering. DA will also be keen to highlight the company’s focus on growth markets.
The media campaign will be targeted at manufacturing companies in all major industries, including transport, food, oil & gas, as well as renewable energy sources. DAPR’s junior account director Lizzie Wastell will manage the DuPont account, supported by strategic consultant Pippa Watts and DA managing director Lisa Shaddick.
